Pioneer Florida Museum and Village presents: Home Front - The Civil War in Florida

It's 1864 and the Civil War has raged for 3 long years! Life on the home front is harder than it's ever been. Inflation is rising, everyday goods are becoming harder to afford, and long lists of casualties from major battles brings tragic news home for Southern families. Home guards now train both old and young as the desperation increases. It is a trying time that tests the ingenuity and resilience of the Southern civilians.
This event will feature:
- A converted convalescent hospital
- A camp of Home Guards conducting drill
- Living history stations and presentations
