The Suicide Prevention Training Institute (SPTI) is excited to announce registration for our upcoming Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) workshop!
ASIST is a two-day, 16-hour, face-to-face training that provides practical skills and confidence to recognize when someone may be at risk for suicide, respond effectively, and help create a plan for safety.
Whether you are a professional, volunteer, caregiver, family member, first responder, educator, faith leader, or concerned community member, ASIST can give you the tools to respond when someone needs help.

Friday, November 13 & Saturday, November 14, 2026
? Full attendance for both days is required.
The workshop is designed so that each session builds upon the previous material, making full participation essential to successfully complete the training.

$50 Registration Deposit:
A $50 deposit will be collected during Eventbrite registration and refunded at the conclusion of the workshop for participants who successfully attend the full 16-hour training.
If a participant is unable to attend the full training or cancels less than 14 days before the workshop, the deposit will be considered a donation to the Suicide Prevention Training Institute.

The Suicide Prevention Training Institute, in partnership with the Gulfcoast North Area Health Education Center, is pleased to offer continuing education credits (CEUs) at no cost to participants who successfully complete the ASIST workshop.

Fees/Admission
Training Deposit: $50.00 deposit will be collected during Eventbrite registration. The deposit will be refunded at the conclusion of the Workshop. The registration deposit will be considered a donation to the Suicide Prevention Training Institute for those who register and are then unable to attend the full training (16 hours, two days) or who cancel less than 14 days in advance.
