DESCRIPTION:Laura Krueger Brock\, CPA/CFF\, CFE - Fraud & Internal Controls\n\nThis session will include a discussion about fraud awareness\, detection\, tips and techniques to uncover fraud and examples of fraud cases.\n\n \n\nAbout the presenter:\n\nLaura is a graduate of Florida State University and has spent over 40 years in public accounting serving as a partner with national\, regional and local accounting firms in Florida. Her focus as an audit partner was in nonprofits and governmental organizations. \n\nShe is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Florida and also holds designations of Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF)\, where she has provided forensic accounting and investigative services for over 25 years. \n\nShe has been a guest lecturer and presented over 100 seminars at several conferences on auditing\, accounting and fraud related topics. She is semi-retired providing consulting services and teaches the Ethics course for the Florida Institute of CPA's.\n\nShe is a past president of the Florida Institute of CPAs (West Coast Chapter)\, Tampa Bay Women CPAs (f/k/a American Woman Society of CPAs)\, and the ACFE Tampa Bay Chapter where she also served as Scholarship Chair from 2001 - 2020.  She currently serves on the FSU Accounting Department Professional Advisory Board\,  USF College of Business Advisory Council\, and St. Jerome Parish Finance Council.
